Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Clinical Practice Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.
One (1) year of CSIU and/or surgical nursing and/or cardiology nursing experience required. Nurses currently working on the unit will be deemed qualified.
EducationGraduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
Certification / Licensure / RegistrationCurrent CRNM registration required.
Professional Development- Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration required.
- Successful scheduled and completion of the Advanced Assessment Course when the opportunity to take the course is scheduled by the employer, or as otherwise mutually agreed to between the nurse and employer.
- Active participation in skilled associations (e.g., Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred).
Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
