RPN Hemodialysis Specialist Position

This RPN role requires effective communication and patient assessment abilities, complemented by your hemodialysis proficiency. You'll educate families, conduct thorough assessments, and ensure seamless operation of hemodialysis machines. Your work will contribute to both high-quality patient care and important research initiatives within the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Initiate and closely monitor hemodialysis procedures
• Conduct patient assessments and provide family education
• Set up and troubleshoot hemodialysis machines
• Keep detailed documentation of patient care
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 1 year of hemodialysis experience necessary
• Hold a Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) Certificate
• Preferred experience with Gambro Artis hemodialysis machines
• Must complete Nephrology post-graduate training within 1 year
