Position: Mentor for NICU Nursing Excellence
Support the growth of NICU nursing staff as a Clinical Mentor, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of mentorship and excellence in patient care.

In this critical role, you will work under the Clinical Manager to provide on-the-spot mentorship for nurses in the NICU. Together with educators, you will ensure staff maintain their clinical skills while adjusting to new responsibilities. Your leadership in promoting educational opportunities will enhance the capability and confidence of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide rapid clinical mentorship on the unit

• Collaborate with educators for skill maintenance

• Support staff during career transitions in nursing practice

• Foster a mentoring environment conducive to growth

• Demonstrate and promote excellence in patient care

Requirements:

• At least five years of NICU nursing experience

• Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills

• Previous mentoring or precepting experience preferred

• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba

• Completion of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program is required
