Psychiatric Registered Nurse

Position: Psychiatric Registered Nurse at Lakeridge Health
Enhance mental health services at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse. This part-time role features variable shifts focusing on patient-centered care.

In this critical role within the Psychiatry General department, you will uphold the College of Nurses of Ontario standards and utilize your mental health expertise. You will be responsible for conducting thorough mental health assessments and engaging in a collaborative team environment while maintaining comprehensive nursing records for all patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize nursing processes to ensure effective patient care

• Keep detailed and thorough nursing documentation

• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary care setting

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments

• Adhere to reflective practice standards

Requirements:

• BScN Degree is required

• Minimum 2 years in inpatient mental health care

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required

• Proven track record of managing aggressive behaviors
