Position: Workplace Health Nurse at Gerdau
Become a Workplace Health Nurse at Gerdau's Manitoba Mill, delivering essential health care to all employees and contractors. Collaborate with various teams to support safety measures and wellness initiatives.

This permanent, full-time role directly supports the Health & Safety Manager. You will manage the Disability Management program and coordinate medical screenings while providing first aid care. Fostering a culture of health, you’ll engage in wellness outreach, promoting programs like gym memberships and EAP referrals to enhance employee wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Disability Management and return to work processes

• Facilitate the hearing conservation program and screenings

• Promote preventative health care education initiatives

• Implement wellness programs and referrals for employees

• Review incident report data with leadership for safety improvements

Requirements:

• Must have or be willing to obtain LIAT certification

• 3-5 years of relevant Occupational Health Nursing experience

• Ergonomic knowledge is a plus

• Strong documentation and technical skills

• Exceptional verbal and written communication
