This position is directed by the Manager of Health Services and requires a solid foundation of at least four years in mental health nursing. You will engage in comprehensive assessments and care planning for outpatient clients while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for effective treatment delivery. Ongoing education in mental health is vital for competency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate outpatient mental health needs
• Plan, implement, and monitor patient treatment strategies
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals on patient care
• Uphold mental health legislation and ethical standards
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment options
Requirements:
• Four years' mental health nursing experience required
• Current registration with CRNM or CRPNM
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Preferred advanced degree in nursing or related fields
• Proficiency in Indigenous customs and languages a plus
