Position Overview
Enhance your nursing career as an Operating Room Registered Nurse at Mount St. Joseph Hospital with Providence Health Care. This role includes comprehensive perioperative training and career development opportunities.
Providence Health Care, in collaboration with BCIT, offers a fully funded perioperative nursing program for eligible nurses. Participants will receive tuition coverage and earn a Perioperative Nursing Certificate upon completion, with a commitment to 18 months of service. Ideal candidates should possess strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and at least 1-2 years of medical or surgical nursing experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' diverse needs and develop care plans
- Implement and evaluate individualized nursing interventions
- Educate patients and families through care teaching
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal outcomes
- Document observations and communicate patient status changes
- Current BCCNM registered nurse registration
- 1-2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
- Successful completion of required dexterity tests
- Proficient in CPR and interpersonal communication
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams
