Be a vital part of the recovery journey at Eden Mental Health Centre as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Focus on patient assessment, care planning, and implementation in a supportive inpatient environment.
As a Nurse II at Eden Mental Health Centre, you will be responsible for guiding patients from acute illness to stabilization. This role emphasizes collaboration with treatment teams to develop nursing care plans that prioritize patients’ needs. You will assess patient status, provide direct care, and evaluate treatment goals within the framework of recovery principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct patient assessments every shift
• Develop comprehensive nursing care plans
• Implement treatment plans with direct patient care
• Engage in therapeutic communication activities
• Advocate for patient needs within the treatment team
Requirements:
• Current nursing registration in Manitoba
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid understanding of nursing theory and practice
• Experience with the recovery model of care
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role
