Location: Portage la Prairie

Join Portage Regional Health Centre as a Mental Health Liaison Nurse. This in-person role focuses on improving mental health service delivery through your expertise and collaborative efforts.

As a temporary nurse, you'll draw upon at least two years of acute mental health experience to navigate the complexities of patient care. Certification with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba is mandatory.

Your role will support a interdisciplinary team and ensure standardized quality services while also respecting cultural diversity among patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and develop care plans for clients

• Work collaboratively within a mental health framework

• Maintain effective communication and documentation

• Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards

• Address the needs of diverse patient populations

Requirements:

• Two years of acute mental health experience required

• Current certification with nursing regulatory bodies

• Strong knowledge of applicable mental health legislation

• Proficiency in both English and French preferred

• Ability to travel to various facilities as needed
