Join Northern Manitoba’s healthcare team as a full-time Renal Dialysis Nurse. This role focuses on delivering compassionate care and supporting renal health education in the community.
The successful candidate will provide hemo-dialysis and other primary care treatments while educating patients on renal failure prevention. You’ll collaborate with a variety of health professionals and engage in outreach teaching to communities, ensuring holistic patient support. Your teaching will also extend to other healthcare staff and nursing students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer hemo-dialysis and monitor patient health
• Conduct foot assessments and routine primary care
• Provide education about renal health to individuals and community
• Teach nursing students and healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate records and develop clinic procedures
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential
• Completion of Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Course
• Preferred experience in renal nursing, especially in northern clinics
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Excellent communication and judgment skills
