Join Shared Health as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre, providing in-person care in the Forensic Rehabilitation unit. Focus on mental health and nursing excellence while engaging with patients.

This part-time role (0.65 FTE) is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with mental health experience. You will work closely with healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care, applying critical thinking and communication skills. An understanding of Indigenous customs is preferred, enhancing patient interactions and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide therapeutic nursing care to patients

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Maintain active nursing registration and participation in professional associations

• Ensure compliance with health policies and protocols

• Adapt to dynamic healthcare situations in a forensic environment

Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved nursing program

• Active registration with CRPNM or CRNM

• Recent mental health experience preferred

• Knowledge of health profession standards

• Ability to manage physical demands of the role
