Step into a vital role as a Nursing Assistant at Cancer Care Manitoba at Victoria General Hospital. This temporary position is essential for ensuring patient comfort and operational support in an outpatient clinic.
Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will be responsible for clerical tasks and providing supportive care to patients. Successful candidates will have completed a recognized Nursing Assistant Course and hold certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). The position will require physical activity, including lifting and moving patients and equipment within the clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clerical support to the clinical team
• Assist patients with comfort and care needs
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work environment
• Document patient information accurately
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Requirements:
• Completed Nursing Assistant Course required
• Basic computer proficiency
• Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain
• Ability to perform physical tasks involved in patient care
• Must be authorized to work legally in Canada
