This term position (0.65 FTE) in the Forensic Rehabilitation unit is ideal for Registered Nurses or Registered Psychiatric Nurses seeking to utilize their skills in mental health. Candidates should be equipped with strong communication, critical thinking, and the ability to function effectively in high-pressure scenarios. An understanding of Indigenous cultures is valued and enhances community connections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized nursing care to patients
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams for patient support
• Ensure compliance with nursing codes and ethics
• Participate in required health training and professional development
• Maintain safety and adherence to protocols in care
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited psychiatric or nursing program
• Current registration with CRPNM or CRNM
• Preference for candidates with relevant mental health experience
• Knowledge of relevant health regulations and practices
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
