Extendicare LPN

Position: Extendicare LPN Role
Join Extendicare as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Heritage Lodge in Winnipeg, where your nursing skills will provide meaningful support to seniors' healthcare needs. Work part-time in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Reporting to the Director of Care, your role as an LPN involves implementing individual care plans and ensuring high standards of nursing practice. You will work with an inter-professional team, applying a person-centered approach to deliver personalized care to residents. This position is suited for proactive nurses with a commitment to quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and evaluate resident care plans

• Conduct health assessments and maintain accurate records

• Assist with care conferences and facilitate resident transitions

• Provide emergency response and first aid when needed

• Educate families about care and health maintenance

Requirements:

• Must be a registered LPN in Manitoba

• Experience with seniors and interdisciplinary teams preferred

• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certifications

• Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check is required
