In this essential role, under the operational direction of the Manager of Health Services, you will demonstrate your expertise in chronic illness and geriatrics. Your responsibilities include independent nursing services, administering medical treatments, and guiding support staff in patient care. Flexibility is key, as some evening and weekend shifts may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional nursing services to patients/residents
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
• Administer prescribed medical treatments and care plans
• Direct students and health care aides in patient duties
• Participate in care coordination and patient discharge planning
Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program
• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba
• Experience in chronic illness and geriatrics care
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
