Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Experience
  • Must have a minimum of four years recent related nursing experience providing care to children and youth populations in an inpatient or outpatient program with demonstrated competency in harm reduction, trauma informed care and/or mental health assessments is preferred.
  • Previous experience in teaching, education and program development and evaluation is preferred.
  • Mental health experience required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing required.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing is preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
  • Certificate or certification in a related specialty area preferred.

Note:

In certain circumstances, certification as an instructor in a specialty training course (e.g. ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be stated as a requirement.

Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Manitoba (C.R.N.M.) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (C.R.P.N.M).
  • Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with Employer policy.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Competency with word processing and presentation programs, required.
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve in complex situations.
  • Evidence of knowledge of the principles of adult learning and teaching strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to function creatively and independently.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development.
  • Initiates and supports change.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
