The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is accountable to the Manager of Health Services/Resident Care. You will deliver professional nursing services, manage prescribed treatments, and coordinate patient care alongside physicians and health staff. This role includes directing students and support staff, working some evenings and weekends as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide independent nursing services to patients/residents
• Administer prescribed medical treatments and therapies
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for optimal patient care
• Direct students and health care aides in patient support
• Participate in patient discharge and care coordination
Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program
• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba
• Experience in chronic illness and geriatrics
• Knowledge of nursing standards and ethics in practice
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
