Elevate community health as an Advanced Practice Nurse with the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority. This role focuses on autonomous care delivery, encompassing diagnostics, treatment, and health education.
The Nurse Practitioner operates within a collaborative team, taking charge of patient care through advanced nursing assessments and interventions. With a focus on mental health and addictions, you'll lead initiatives that enhance health outcomes and ensure culturally safe care. This position supports the Authority's mission of achieving health equity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Order diagnostic tests and interpret results autonomously
• Provide pharmacologic treatments and minor procedures
• Design and evaluate health intervention strategies
• Collaborate with primary care providers for continuity
• Mentor and train other health care staff
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Nursing, designated Nurse Practitioner stream
• Active CRNM registration, including authority for OAT
• Five years of recent nursing practice experience
• Understanding of mental health recovery principles
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changes
