Part Time Registered Nurse at Extendicare

As a Registered Nurse, you will work closely with the Director of Health and Wellness to assess residents' needs, manage care plans, and facilitate education for families. This role emphasizes communication and collaboration with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to optimize resident care. You will ensure compliance with Extendicare's policies for medication administration and oversee the delegation of care to support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete resident care assessments and service plans

• Administer medication and safeguard drugs per regulations

• Supervise support staff and delegate medication tasks

• Coordinate care plans with the interdisciplinary team

• Respond to medical emergencies and significant resident changes

Requirements:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse

• Experience with seniors and unregulated care providers

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and leadership

• Valid Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
