In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Program Manager and utilize a person-centred approach to assist patients and families. Your work will encompass the entire cancer continuum, ensuring that individuals receive the support needed from diagnosis to survivorship. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver education to patients and families affected by cancer
• Guide families through the healthcare system
• Promote informed treatment decision-making
• Collaborate with health care teams for comprehensive care
• Spearhead community outreach for cancer education initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum 3 years of recent oncology nursing experience
• Registered or eligible for registration with C.R.N.M.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of healthcare equity principles
