Resident Care Manager at Extendicare

As a crucial member of the management team, the Resident Care Manager will oversee the planning and evaluation of quality resident care. This role requires a registered nurse with at least two years of supervisory experience in geriatrics or long-term care. You will implement staff training, manage hiring, and ensure compliance with health regulations while promoting interdisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure resident satisfaction through quality improvement initiatives

• Assist nursing staff with assessments and care plans

• Manage staff recruitment and disciplinary actions

• Schedule replacements for departmental absences

• Promote an interdisciplinary approach to care

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in geriatrics or long-term care

• Current registered nurse license; CRNM or CRPNM preferred
