Resident Care Manager Role

Position: Extendicare Resident Care Manager Role
Lead quality resident care initiatives at Extendicare as a Resident Care Manager. Drive team management and ensure exceptional service delivery through effective staff coordination and care planning.

In this part-time position, you will work under the guidance of the Director of Care, overseeing the planning and implementation of resident care.

Your role as a leader will require knowledge of geriatrics or long-term care, with a focus on staff development and teamwork. Engage with nursing staff to ensure care plans are thoroughly developed and reviewed, contributing to the continuous improvement of services provided at Extendicare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure resident satisfaction through quality improvement

• Assist in developing and reviewing nursing care plans

• Recruit, hire, and supervise nursing staff

• Promote interdisciplinary approaches to care

• Act as a clinical model for nursing staff

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in geriatrics or long-term care

• Registered nurse with an active license

• Experience in multi-union environments

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Knowledge of Manitoba health legislation
