Perioperative Nursing Role

Join Shared Health as a Perioperative Nurse at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. This vital nursing role requires in-person engagement to support patients throughout the surgical process.

You will provide essential perioperative care under the supervision of the O.R. Manager. Focused on individual patient needs, your responsibilities will include planning and implementing nursing interventions that comply with healthcare standards. You will also be involved in professional growth through education and engagement in quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs before and after surgery

• Plan and execute nursing interventions effectively

• Collaborate with healthcare teams for smooth operations

• Participate in training and education opportunities

• Engage in departmental Quality Assurance activities

Requirements:

• Relevant perioperative nursing experience required

• Graduate of a Registered Nursing education program

• CNA certification in Perioperative Nursing preferred

• CPR certification at the Health Care Provider level

• Proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses
