Registered Nurse

Position: Registered Nurse at Extendicare
Become a vital part of Extendicare's mission as a Registered Nurse providing compassionate care in a part-time role. You’ll ensure quality resident care, medication administration, and compliance with health standards.

As a Registered Nurse reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, you will perform assessments, document resident care, and work closely with the nursing team. Your skills in communication, care coordination, and critical thinking are paramount in managing resident care effectively. Engaging with residents and their families, you will facilitate educational sessions while ensuring all treatments align with regulatory policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete resident care assessments and service plans

• Administer medications according to healthcare regulations

• Coordinate care for residents with interdisciplinary teams

• Lead emergency responses in the absence of supervision

• Manage concerns raised by residents or their families

Requirements:

• Current RN registration in the province

• Experience with seniors and unregulated care providers

• Strong clinical knowledge and delegation skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Recent Vulnerable Position Screening required
