Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 - March 31st 2027.)
Position OverviewExperience
- Two (2) years recent Medical and/or Surgical and/or ICU and/or Emergency and/or Operating Room nursing experience required.
- Minimum two (2) years recent nursing experience with EKG and pressure monitoring required.
- Nurses currently working on the unit will be deemed qualified.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
- Current CRNM registration required.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required.
- Must have no contraindications that would limit the ability to perform in a magnetic field (e.g. Pacemaker, middle ear prosthesis, etc.). For more information call the staffing office.
- Adult Conscious Sedation/Procedural Sedation Education must be obtained when the opportunity is scheduled by the employer, or as otherwise mutually agreed to between the nurse and employer.
- Demonstrated ability in establishing an I.V. required.
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- If there are no applicants meeting the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant who does not meet the above qualifications.
