Join Cancer Care Manitoba as an Oncology Nurse II focused on patient-centered care in a multi-disciplinary outpatient setting. Provide vital nursing interventions and support cancer patients and families every day.
As an Oncology Nurse II under the Patient Services Manager, you will administer treatments, coordinate patient care, and fulfill independent nursing responsibilities. Your expertise will enhance patient experiences, while also promoting active participation in their own treatment decisions. This role demands a strong commitment to patient advocacy and collaborative teamwork within a supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver professional nursing services to oncology patients
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications
• Assess physical and emotional needs of patients
• Coordinate care within a multi-disciplinary team
• Document patient progress using electronic health systems
Requirements:
• Current CRNM registration in good standing
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Knowledge of the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics
• Proficient in medical software applications
• Capable of working legally in Canada
