2026/2027, Course-Based Opportunities (Winnipeg Campus) – Department of Psychiatric Nursing
Achieving a standard of excellence in nursing and psychiatric nursing education demands the efforts of excellent instructors. The Faculty of Health Studies offers four-year programs leading to a Bachelor of Nursing (Brandon) and Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (Brandon and Winnipeg).
The Department of Psychiatric Nursing is seeking Contract Academic Staff to teach the following courses (in-person) for Brandon University in the 2026/2027 academic year:
Winnipeg – Term 1 – Theory:
69.251 Principles of Health Assessment – Wednesday 1300 – 1600 (3 credit hours) – Start August 31, 2026.
69:257 Fundamentals of Psychiatric Nursing Practice II – Monday 0900 – 1200 (3 credit hours) – Start September 1, 2026.
69.377 Developmental Challenges – Tuesday 0900 – 1200 (4 credit hours) – Start September 8, 2026.
These courses may be delivered in an online synchronous format, but preference will be given to qualified candidates who are able to teach in-person.
- Preferred candidates will hold a graduate degree in nursing or psychiatric nursing with a minimum offive years clinical experience in a related field.
- All candidates must hold current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba(CRPNM).
- Recent teaching experience preferred.
Salary
: $8,132 per 3 credit hour course.
