Public Health Nurse

Position: Public Health Nurse at Southern Health-Santé Sud
Location: Winkler

Make a meaningful impact as a Public Health Nurse with Southern Health-Santé Sud in Winkler/Morden. Collaborate with communities to enhance health and promote wellness through person-centered care.

This permanent in-person role is a part of the Public Health Program within the Families First unit. As a Public Health Nurse, you will leverage your experience in Public Health Nursing and background in Parent Survey Training to support families and deliver health services. Engaging with diverse populations, your work will involve promoting equitable health outcomes and reducing inequities while supervising and mentoring Home Visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply public health science to promote health in communities

• Provide reflective supervision for Home Visitors

• Engage with multi-disciplinary teams for program implementation

• Evaluate community health programs for effectiveness

• Develop initiatives addressing social determinants of health

Requirements:

• 2+ years in Public Health Nursing in the last 5 years

• Experience in Parent Survey Training

• Minimum 1 year of reflective supervision practice

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing

• Active Practice Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
