Occupational Health Nurse at Gerdau

Elevate health care in Selkirk with Gerdau as an Occupational Health Nurse. Deliver vital care services to employees while promoting wellness programs at our Manitoba facility.

The Occupational Health Nurse will report to the Health & Safety Manager, interfacing daily with managers, staff, and contractors on injuries and wellness initiatives. Responsibilities include administering first aid, managing disability claims, and promoting employee health through education and programs. A focus on preventative care and ergonomic safety is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site first aid treatment for employees

• Administer the Disability Management program and WCB processes

• Deliver health education and promote preventative care

• Review monthly incident report data for corrective actions

• Assist with other safety program activities as required

Requirements:

• Licensed Industrial Audiometric Technician or willing to obtain

• 2+ years of Occupational Health nursing experience

• Ergonomic experience is a definite asset

• Strong computer skills and documentation proficiency

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
