Part-Time Registered Nurse Position

In this position, you will report directly to the Director of Health and Wellness, focusing on delivering high-quality nursing care to residents. Your involvement in care plans and education for residents and families will be essential, while you ensure adherence to Extendicare policies and regulatory requirements. The role demands excellent communication and critical thinking skills to effectively manage care across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and update resident care assessments and plans

• Supervise medication administration and audits

• Organize resident care conferences and meetings

• Respond effectively to changes in resident conditions

• Assist in implementing infection prevention initiatives

Requirements:

• Registration as a Registered Nurse is essential

• Experience with seniors in long-term care settings

• Strong leadership and coordination abilities

• Ability to use information technology tools

• Current VPS screening required
