Mental Health Nurse at Marymound

Join Marymound as a Mental Health Nurse dedicated to fostering youth resilience. In this role, you will conduct assessments and provide comprehensive care in a supportive environment.

We are searching for a qualified nurse with a focus on mental health and addiction issues, prepared to work independently as well as part of a team.

Your role will involve monitoring youth health, developing treatment plans, and educating families about health promotion. You will report directly to the Program Coordinator to ensure optimal care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate admissions and discharges for youth clients

• Complete comprehensive mental and physical assessments

• Create tailored treatment plans with team collaboration

• Monitor and manage youth health status in the unit

• Provide education on addiction and health topics to parents and staff

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse, BN, or RPN preferably in addictions

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

• ASIST certification and Mental Health First Aid preferred

• Available for various shift work

• Clear background checks are mandatory
