Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Inpatient Unit

Make a difference as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse at Eden Mental Health Centre's Inpatient Unit. Focus on patient recovery and stabilization in this critical nursing role.

This position as a Nurse II allows you to engage patients in their journey to recovery from mental health issues. You'll conduct assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Foster relationships and build skills with patients in a supportive therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients for mental health and safety each shift

• Create and update nursing care plans collaboratively

• Provide direct care and educate on treatment options

• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records

• Advocate for patient needs effectively with the treatment team

Requirements:

• Current nursing registration in Manitoba (RN or RPN)

• Thorough understanding of psychiatric nursing principles

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Physically and mentally equipped for nursing duties

• Completed criminal and abuse checks in compliance
