Be a key player in Canadian Blood Services as a Registered Nurse in Winnipeg, providing crucial support in blood collection and improving donor experiences. This Temporary Part-Time position allows you to engage with donors and ensure their safety during donations.
In this role, you will join the Collections team dedicated to saving lives through safe blood and component collection. Your responsibilities include conducting screenings, performing venipunctures, and coaching staff. Upholding the highest standards in record-keeping and donor care is vital for this part-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute donor registration and screening diligently
• Provide information and guidance for blood donations
• Act as a team lead during collection events
• Ensure safe venipuncture practices and donor comfort
• Keep precise records of donor interactions and collections
Requirements:
• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in good standing
• At least 2 years related nursing experience is desirable
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus
