Emergency Department Psychiatric Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage mental health crises in the ED

• Create care plans based on individual patient needs

• Consult with inpatient units on mental health support

• Conduct psychiatric assessments with a biopsychosocial perspective

• Support interdisciplinary teams in mental health care delivery

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years in acute mental health nursing

• Valid registration with CRNM or CRPNM

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to educate patients and staff on mental health
