Position OverviewExperience
- Minimum of four years recent related nursing experience with demonstrated competency in teaching, education and program development and evaluation, required.
- Previous experience in community nursing, preferably in Home Care, required.
- Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Diploma/Certification in Adult Education preferred.
- Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle are required.
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act.
- Basic computer skills are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access, preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve in complex situations.
- Evidence of knowledge of the principles of adult learning and teaching strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to function creatively and independently.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development.
- Initiates and supports change.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
