Shared Health is seeking a knowledgeable Diabetes Education Nurse for the Pediatric Diabetes Education Program at Health Sciences Centre. This full-time role demands a minimum of three years of experience in diabetes education, ideally with adult teaching experience. Candidates must hold a nursing degree, be a Certified Diabetes Educator, and have current BCLS certification to provide optimal patient education and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive diabetes education to pediatric patients
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care
• Conduct assessments and develop educational materials
• Participate in community outreach programs
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements:
• Minimum three years recent diabetes education experience
• Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current BCLS certification required
