Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services and in collaboration with the Site Lead of Endocrinology and Metabolism, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the ENDOCRINE NURSE CLINICIAN is responsible for: providing quality nursing care to patients with endocrine and metabolic disturbances, through clinical practice, consultation, education, research and community services;

and performing other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum five(5) years related clinical experience required.
• One (1) year educational and clinical diabetes experience preferred.

• Baccalaureate of Nursing preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

• Current C.R.N.M registration required.
• Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) preferred.

• Demonstrated organizational and planning abilities.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated clinical and teaching expertise.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt readily to changing demands and situations.
• Previous experience in an expanded nursing role an asset.
