Licensed Practical Nurse with IV therapy and medication administration expertise is sought for in-person Family Medicine care in Winnipeg.
This 0.80 FTE clinical position serves Family Medicine 3U4-7 within the Winnipeg Health Region. The successful candidate will apply nursing care knowledge, communication skills, and critical thinking while supporting individual or groups of patients. Knowledge of delegation, healthcare-team responsibilities, and applicable legislation is required.
Key Responsibilities:- Prioritize care for individual patients or patient groups
- Delegate care appropriately and monitor delegated-care outcomes
- Respond to simultaneous demands and changing situations
- Perform independently and as part of the healthcare team
- Maintain concentration with frequent interruptions
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program
- Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba
- Certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration
- CPR training according to Employer policy requirements
- Recent related clinical-area experience may be required or preferred
