Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse

Provide person-centered nursing care as a part time Licensed Practical Nurse with Extendicare, using clinical judgment and care coordination skills. Support residents according to provincial standards.

Reporting to the Director of Care or Director of Health & Wellness, the LPN delivers planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed care. You will assess residents, maintain care plans, administer medications and treatments, and communicate changes. The role supports residents in a senior’s environment through collaborative nursing practice.

• Complete clinical assessments, care plans, and required documentation
• Provide direct resident care and administer medications and treatments
• Coordinate care assignments and resident care conferences
• Respond to significant condition changes and medical emergencies
• Educate residents and families about care

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse registration in the applicable province or state
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and care coordination skills
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
• Sound clinical knowledge and computer proficiency
• Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
