This full-time, 18-month term role supports the Safety & Health Officers in creating a safer environment for nearly 32,000 students. Collaborating with school administration, you will lead inspections, provide essential training, and analyze job hazards. Your expertise will significantly contribute to compliance with safety policies and enhance overall school safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in investigating safety and health issues across schools
• Conduct safety inspections for compliance with regulations
• Provide training on various safety topics to staff
• Maintain WHMIS, Asbestos Management, and other safety programs
• Develop job hazard analyses and safe work procedures
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma/degree in Safety & Health
• Minimum five years in Safety & Health field
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and building maintenance
• Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation preferred
