Quality Assurance Coordinator

Join Gay Lea Foods as a Quality Assurance Coordinator in Brampton, ON, where you will enhance food safety and quality systems. This full time role focuses on implementing and improving SQF food safety practices in a cooperative workplace.

As a key member of the team, you will report to the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance and ensure compliance with food safety protocols, including HACCP. Your responsibilities will involve conducting audits, training warehouse staff, and communicating with management about quality issues. You will play a crucial role in improving systems while maintaining essential records and metrics.

• Implement SQF and HACCP processes in the warehouse
• Conduct weekly quality compliance audits
• Train warehouse employees in quality procedures
• Compile and present KPIs for management review
• Liaise with internal and external auditors

• Bachelor's degree in food science or related field
• Formal HACCP and SQF training
• Exceptional communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Valid Ontario G driver’s license
