Environment Health Safety Coordinator

Position: Environment Health Safety Coordinator Role
Join Sunrise Farms in Winnipeg as an EHS Coordinator and transform our safety culture. This role focuses on compliance, training, and proactive health and safety initiatives.

As a key contributor in our plant, you will report to the Plant Manager while advancing EHS compliance and implementing corporate programs. Your responsibilities include regular inspections, incident management, and employee training, making a significant impact on workplace safety. Your collaboration with both management and union groups is essential to maximize compliance with health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily health and safety operations on-site

• Conduct facility inspections and identify hazard corrections

• Manage Employer Injury Reports and ongoing claim files

• Provide guidance on EHS policies to the staff

• Implement corporate safety programs and track performance metrics

Requirements:

• 5+ years in EHS compliance activities

• Manufacturing or industrial experience required

• Degree in Health & Safety or Environmental Science

• CRSP designation preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
