Advance your archaeological career with KGS Group in Winnipeg. This role focuses on fieldwork, supervision, and impactful assessments in ecology and environmental impact.
KGS Group seeks an experienced Archaeologist to join its Ecology and Environmental Impact Assessment Department. You will act as a permit holder and supervise Heritage Resource Impact Assessments while managing small teams. This position requires both fieldwork expertise and skills in facilitating communication with Indigenous communities.
Key Responsibilities Act as a permit holder recognized by provincial regulators
Supervise Heritage Resource Impact Assessments in Manitoba
Conduct archaeological fieldwork such as surveys and artifact analysis
Manage and guide small teams in fieldwork quality control
Collaborate on fieldwork logistics with project management teams
Requirements Four-year degree or master’s degree in archaeology
1+ years of experience directing archaeological field methods
Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
Valid driver’s license
Experience in remote fieldwork considered an asset
