KGS Group is actively hiring an Archaeologist for its Ecology and Environmental Impact Assessment Department. In this position, you will be responsible for supervising fieldwork, acting as a permit holder while conducting assessments. The ideal candidate will have experience in archaeological methods and the ability to communicate effectively with Indigenous groups.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the permit holder in provincial assessments
• Supervise enforcement of Heritage Resource Impact Assessments
• Perform archaeological fieldwork including testing and documentation
• Guide small teams to ensure compliance with provincial standards
• Collaborate with project management on fieldwork coordination
Requirements:
• Four-year bachelor’s or master’s degree in archaeology
• 1+ year directing archaeological fieldwork
• Ability to navigate challenging outdoor conditions
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Remote fieldwork experience is advantageous
