Join the University of Manitoba's research team as a Technician 4, driving innovative projects in a part-time role. Collaborate on data analysis and sample processing to make an impactful contribution.
Scheduled to begin on June 24, 2024, this part‑time role entails up to 35 hours of work each week. You will ensure the efficient operation of the lab, provide training to new staff, and monitor compliance with safety protocols. Your contributions will directly assist research endeavors and enhance lab protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain smooth lab operations and safety compliance
- Provide oversight for research assistants and students
- Manage data collection and contribute to reports
- Assist in grant proposal writing and literature reviews
- Conduct tissue processing, PCR, and immunoassays
- Completion of a community college course essential
- Bachelor's degree in a health‑related area preferred
- Three years of relevant experience mandatory
- Experience with biobanking and sample analysis required
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail needed
