Join the University of Winnipeg as a Summer Research Assistant to explore AI and spectroscopy in grain quality assessment. This position emphasizes programming, data analysis, and collaborative research.
This role requires a senior Applied Computer Science student who is passionate about applied research. You will engage in tasks involving 3D image reconstruction and AI-based analysis tools. Candidates with programming skills in MATLAB or Python are encouraged to apply, as well as those interested in literature review and scientific inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Use CTVox for programming and image reconstruction
• Engage in AI model creation and data analysis
• Conduct literature reviews supporting research projects
• Complete additional duties as assigned
• Work closely under guidance from senior researchers
Requirements:
• Completion of 4th year in Applied Computer Science
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python programming
• Interest in scientific literature review and writing
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• In-person work required between June and September
