Position: Full-Time Biological Technician at University of Manitoba
Engage in molecular biology projects as a Biological Technician at the University of Manitoba. Ideal for those skilled in lab maintenance and experimental techniques in a full-time role.

This full-time position is grant-funded and is structured for a one-year appointment. The role requires expertise in tasks such as protein extraction, tissue culture, and PCR. You will maintain cell stocks and coordinate lab activities while assisting students with their experiments and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and organize cell stocks and stock solutions

• Conduct experiments with mice and cell culture

• Assist students with animal experiments and necropsies

• Perform tissue processing for histology and immunohistochemistry

• Analyze data statistically from experimental results

Requirements:

• High school completion or Community College course

• Experience with molecular biology techniques required

• Familiarity with animal handling and breeding is essential

• Effective communication and organizational skills needed

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
