Toronto Volunteer Research Assistant

Contribute to social innovation as a Volunteer Research Assistant with Roots of Empathy in Toronto, Ontario. Support evaluation processes that enrich children's emotional intelligence and empathy.

As a Volunteer Research Assistant, you will assist the Research Team with the internal evaluation of impactful programs. Applicants should be pursuing or have completed a degree in social sciences.

Key responsibilities include organizing student artwork, maintaining records, and assisting with qualitative feedback for evaluation reports.

• Scan and categorize student artwork and feedback
• Organize and maintain transparent records of submitted materials
• Identify meaningful feedback quotes that reflect program impact
• Assist with data entry and clerical tasks as needed
• Attend research meetings and contribute to organizational efforts

• Currently pursuing a degree in social sciences or equivalent experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills required
• Background in research or administration preferred
• Understanding of child development is advantageous
• Commitment of at least 7.5 hours per week required
