Join a dedicated archaeological team as a permit-holding Archaeologist, supervising fieldwork in Manitoba. Conduct impact assessments and engage with Indigenous communities while ensuring regulatory compliance.
We are seeking an Archaeologist with a bachelor’s or master’s degree and the ability to hold permits. You will direct small crews in various fieldwork tasks, from surveys to report preparation, while collaborating on project logistics. Candidates should be comfortable with outdoor conditions and possess at least one year of supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a recognized permit holder in Manitoba
• Supervise Heritage Resource Impact Assessments
• Conduct basic archaeological field surveys and analyses
• Manage small fieldwork crews ensuring quality and ethics
• Coordinate with project management for planning logistics
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or thesis-based master’s degree in archaeology
• 1+ year experience in field supervision
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
• Valid driver’s license
• Background dealing with Indigenous community groups
