Participate in the Manitoba Food History Project as a Senior Research Assistant at the University of Winnipeg. This role involves a focus on both oral history interviews and comprehensive academic research.
You will work under Dr. Janis Thiessen, performing essential research tasks that include conducting oral history interviews and processing them for archival purposes. This in-person term position also involves preparing literature reviews and assisting in podcast production, adding significant value to the project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and conduct oral history interviews
• Perform research tasks in libraries and archives
• Assist in producing publications and reports
• Generate literature reviews on Manitoba food history
• Maintain collaboration with research team members
Requirements:
• History Major with 3.0 GPA or higher
• Required TCPS2: CORE-2022 research ethics certification
• Familiarity with archiving practices and audio recording
• Experience in oral history research preferred
• Ability to manage clerical duties efficiently
